1. Supply chain carbon disclosure
Brands ask for product carbon footprint data, or at least the energy profile of fabric production. Traders typically cannot answer; factories with stable, documented fabric sourcing can. Add "fabric origin and energy statement available" to your supplier criteria alongside standard credential checks.
2. Social-compliance audits (SA8000 / BSCI / SMETA)
The hardest gate for European and American programs: working hours, compensation, fire safety, dormitories, zero tolerance for child labor. Fail the audit, lose the channel.
